HOW I STARTED COACHING IN 1 DAY PER WEEK:

6 years ago, we packed up my portable 6 figure business, took the kids out of school, bought a caravan and started travelling around Australia. That’s when I needed a system to juggle the Big Dreams I had for my business and the visions of balance built in between. 

Instead of coaching sessions with my private and mastermind clients peppered through the week, interrupting our ability to travel, adventure and explore, I had to put them all on one day, for effectiveness, efficiency and the ability to make the most of the great Australian dream we were on, to do the Big Lap of the country in a caravan. 

10 HOUR COACHING DAY 

Tuesdays became my coaching day. Where we’d get ourselves settled, have good internet and an inspiring space for me to spend the day working with my clients on their business and big dreams. 

6 YEARS LATER

We’ve been settled in our beach house for a year now, and still to this day the 1 coaching day a week still works best for me and family. 

I turned that 6 figure business into a 7 figure business, still only doing 1 1:1 coaching day a week.

I think on this day I had about 17 x 20 minute 1:1 sessions. 

5.6 hours of coaching over a 10.5 hour period. 

Lots of chances for resets and rests in between the sessions.

WHY I BECAME A COACH: 

My 1st client session was in 2013 when someone had been watching all the businesses I’d created and grown with the power of digital marketing. I’d never thought of expediting the learning process by hiring someone further ahead of me. There wasn’t that luxury when I came up online. People kept their secrets close to their chest; you had to figure it out by spending time, money and resources. As you failed and stumbled your way to success. The cost of figuring it out yourself was expensive, mainly in time. 

We jumped on a few calls, and in 6 months, she was up and running with a website, marketing, branding and client base. It’d taken me 4 years to learn everything (via trial and error), that I taught her in 6 months. That’s where I learnt the power of MENTORING.
