🧞‍♀️ If you can’t take coaching like th 🧞‍♀️ If you can’t take coaching like this, you need a therapist not a coach 🔥 You’ve got the methods meshed up. Probably because of all the coaches using big words that therapists use. That make them sound more sophisticated…. But all I see is pop psych bandwagons. Anywayyyyyyyyy HERES HOW I RESPONDED 👇 Like any coach, leader, mentor or thought leader who is fit for coaching and fit for service ~ would… I laughed and said “Well I’m not making a new account. So you’ll have to figure out another strategy”. And we laughed and moved on. Did I trash talk him on the internet? No. Did I run away and cry? No. I said what I felt. In the moment. Did I passively agreesively laugh. And then sulk for 3 months? No. Did I request a refund for the shocking sentence? No. Why? Because I paid a coach. Not a therapist. Do you think Serena’s coach Patrick… pat her head and said “you’re perfect, keep going, you’ve got this, I believe in you”. No. He spotted her blindspots. Analysed her serves. Corrected technique AND SHOCK HORROR. CHALLENGED HER. Watch the doc. Coaches are meant to challenge you. Therapist are there to talk it through and basically listen. Mentors are there to tell you how they did it. And pass on what they know from their experience and expertise. If your coach doesn’t challenge you. You have a coddler not a coach. It’ll feel comfortable and cute. But did you hire a coach as a comfort blanket? Or to grow? I said what I said and I’ll say it again.
