Day 17: The 4 Forms of Fear That Show Up in Resistance #bigdreamsbootcamp

Fight, flight, freeze, flee. Those are all the modes of fear. Feels like a game, right? Fight, flight, freeze, flee. But these are the forms of fear and how they show up for us.

1. Fight = Hustle Mode in Disguise

The fight response is a survival response, a fear response. And in most people? It looks like hustle.

It looks like doing strategies from a place of scarcity:

“OMG, I gotta launch.”
“OMG, I gotta sell.”

That may well be true. But if you do it from that perspective—without doing your BELIEFETICS and cleaning your energy, it becomes an act of hustle, an act of fight.

It’s a fear reaction. A fear response. So it’s infused with fight energy.

It might still get results… but they’ll be short-lived. They’ll burn out. They won’t stick.

Reflection Prompt: What does your fight response look like? Does it show up as rushing into a launch, forcing action, skipping your beach walks or journaling?

My red flag? When I say “I can’t go to the beach, I’ve got work to do.” That’s when I know I’m in fight mode.

2. Flight = Spiritual Bypassing

Flight is easy to spot once you know it. It looks like bypassing.

If you skipped resistance work…
If you skipped this very video…
If you’re like “I just wanna stay high vibe, I just wanna stay positive”…
That’s flight.

Flight is when you don’t want to feel it. You want to skip over the shadow work. You want to skip BELIEFETICS. You want to skip the truth.

It’s “I’m just going to fly right over that island of fear, not land on it, not learn from it, not do my work. Just go-go-go.”

But when you bypass it, you miss the lesson. And if you miss the lesson, it will circle back.

Reflection Prompt: What is your personal brand of spiritual bypassing?
Mine? I try to affirmation myself over my fears before I’ve even done the work.

What’s yours?

3. Flee = Quitting in Disguise

Flee is not the same as flight. Flight is flying over.
Flee is running away.

Flee is quitting.

It’s the “I just want to quit” energy.
“Maybe a regular job would be easier.”
“I’m just done. Energetically done.”

But the truth? If you’re an entrepreneur, you’re gonna start something else anyway.

And the pattern of flee is: “Every time it gets hard, I quit.”
Which only delays the dream. Postpones the inevitable. Creates a loop.

Often, we mask it as:
“It’s just not aligned anymore.”
But let’s go there.

Saying it’s out of alignment is actually powerless.

It’s not out of alignment. You are not in alignment with it.

That means YOU hold the power.
It’s not “this thing is no longer right.”
It’s “I am no longer willing or available to align with it.”

Can you feel that difference?

You’re not quitting because it’s wrong.
You’re quitting because it’s hard.
And that is a fear response.

Reflection Prompt: Are you quitting because you’re not getting results? Because it’s taking too long? Is your desire to flee really about the dream… or the discomfort?

4. Freeze = Procrastination in Disguise

Freeze is my most-used mode. Hello, procrastination.

I procrastinated for three days before filming these videos. That’s freeze.

Freeze asks:
“What am I protecting myself from?”

That’s the question I use to crack it. Because freeze protects. It shuts you down to keep you “safe.”

Reflection Prompt: What’s your personal brand of freeze?

Do you binge Netflix?
Do you stop posting?
Do you ghost your stories?
Do you go quiet?

That’s freeze. And it’s fear.

I had to ask myself—what was I afraid of?

Turns out? Perfection.

I had an allergic reaction to perfection.

This course felt perfect. My life felt perfect. The vow renewals. The relationship with my kids. My work. It all felt… too good.

And that’s when sabotage kicks in. But that’s another lesson.

Once I saw the perfection fear, I did my work. I cleared it. And I showed up.

That’s what I want for you.

To identify your fear mode.
To do your BELIEFETICS.
To stop letting fear drive the wheel of your big dream.

Which fear mode is your most common?

  1. Fight = Hustle
  2. Flight = Bypass
  3. Flee = Quit
  4. Freeze = Ghost

Name it. Reclaim it.

And I’ll see you in the next big dream lesson.
